Sunday 14 November 2021Kyson is now a Silver Linguamarque SchoolKyson are now a Silver Linguamarque school - this award recognises that French is embedded across the school with hourly French lessons for every KS2 child, but additionally across the curriculum with every class participating in daily French activities for example, saying the French date, saying and recording the daily weather, answering the register in French and singing the year group French song which changes each half term. Languages and other cultures are welcomed and celebrated at Kyson through our whole school displays, greetings posters in the entrancefoyer and around the EYFS area.
Monday 10 May 2021Kyson Nursery - Full time from 7th JuneWe have been looking at ways to develop our Nursery provision at Kyson and have decided that from 7th June onwards, Kyson Nursery will offer morning and afternoon sessions. This will allow our current Nursery children to access more than 15 hours funded provision with us if they choose too. We will also be starting a lunchtime club for Nursery children (£2.50 per session) so that children can join together a morning and afternoon session and stay for the whole school day. Kyson Nursery will remain teacher led for the morning and afternoon sessions.

Monday 23 November 2020Intra-School Skipping CompetitionFollowing on from the success of Kyson’s inaugural intra-school cross country competition, I am delighted to share that we will be hosting our 2nd event which will be an Intra-school skipping competition, to be held across the school on Friday 11th December.
