New Parent & Carer Information - Yrs 1 to 6
Uniform
The Nursery children at Kyson Primary School wear the same school uniform as the rest of the school, without the tie, and with the choice of a Nursery sweatshirt. A full list and photos of the Kyson uniform can be found here.
A number of uniform items can be purchased from the school office using ParentMail. You will find items to purchase under "Payments" and the trolley/shop icon.
Please note that all ordered items, subject to stock availability, will be ready to collect from the school office during the school day.
Children come to school in September in their winter uniform.
School Lunches and ParentMail
Parents can order school lunches using ParentMail. Alternatively children can be sent in with a packed lunch. Further information about lunchtimes, the ordering process and school menu can be found here.
Milk
All children under the age of 5 receive free school milk as part of the Government Nursery Milk Scheme. If your child is aged 5 or over and you would like to pay for them to have milk, please read the information here.
Pupil Premium
The school is able to claim Pupil Premium for children whose parents are in receipt of one or more of a number of benefits, click here for the full list. Pupil Premium funding helps ensure that the school receives all the Government funding to which it is entitled.
If your child is registered for Pupil premium before March 2024, they will be entitled to free school lunches , music lessons and assistance with payment for school trips, until they finish primary school regardless of any chance in your circumstances.

Requesting a Medical Diet
If your child requires a medical diet due to a food allergy, food intolerance or a medical condition that requires an adapted menu (e.g. carbohydrate count for Type 1 Diabetes), please follow this link to request a medical diet:

Staying in Touch
We use ParentMail to send out newsletters and other communications. It is therefore important that you register your account with ParentMail.
