Music Lessons

We are very fortunate to have four peripatetic music teachers who currently teach over 100 pupils in small groups lessons. These are offered from Year 2 upwards.

The cost per year is £150, unless your child is in receipt  of Free School Meals and then the school will pay for their tution fees.

The school undertakes to provide a minimum of 30 lessons during the academic year. If the number of lessons falls below this figure a refund or credit will be given. Credits or refunds will not be given if a child is absent for a lesson. Full details can be found in our music policy.

The children have their weekly lessons during the school day, in a small group of no more than four pupils. The instrument tuition we are able to offer is as follows:

We are fortunate to have a collection of instruments and in many cases we are able to provide an instrument for your child to learn on.

If we are unable to loan your child an instrument you will need to hire one until a spare is available. They can be hired from the following sources:-

Please note that the school expects you to pay for any damage to an instrument whilst in your child’s care.

We require one term’s notice if your child decides to stop having tuition and any reimbursement will cover any remaining terms. By signing your child/ren up to music tuition you are committing to supporting them through regular practice and encouragement.

Please contact the school office if you would like more information about music lessons.

Brass Assembly

A huge well done to all our hugely talented musicians who played in this morning’s brass assembly: Oscar, Isaac, Finn, William, Tobias, Tilly, Bryleigh, Holly, Layla and Bene! Not only did you show just how hard you’ve worked to master your instrument, but you treated us to such a wide range of songs!  Thank you to our wonderful brass teacher, Miss Hellen, and to everyone who attended. When our year 6s leave us, there will be a number of instruments available for budding new musicians. Do get in touch with the office if your child is interested in learning to play or if you’d like to know more information.
