ONLINE SAFETY
At Kyson we take online safety very seriously. All children receive lessons in e-safety every year and these ensure that each of the following key areas is addressed: Media Balance and Wellbeing; Privacy and Security; Digital Footprint and Identity; Relationships and Communication; Cyberbullying, Digital Drama and Hate Speech; News and Media Literacy.
We aim to take a proactive approach to e-safety and therefore regularly publish useful ‘one-page’ guides to parents – each one on a different game or app that their child/ren might use. These outline the main facts and any possible dangers, also offering positive ideas to encourage discussion. We use the #wellbeingwednesday resources.
If something concerns you while you are on the internet, you can speak to a parent, teacher or one of our online safety leads, Mr Gunson or Mrs Mawdsley.
